MTV EMA 2020: All Winners, BTS, Lady Gaga, Little Mix, and Coldplay triumph!

2020 MTV EMA Winners: We’ve finally found out who took home the most awards

The MTV EMA 2020, one of the reference events in the music scene, has ended. The event, broadcast live, again saw many stars this year.

For the first time in their history, the MTV Europe Music Awards, due to the pandemic, took place without an audience and recorded performances, without the glamour and choreography that have always accompanied past editions. There was a slightly different spirit.

But this has certainly not reduced the awards ceremony’s interest and the emotions from the artists’ performances!

MTV EMA 2020 winners: here’s the full list

Dominating the awards were BTS who won 4, Best Song for Dynamite, Best Group, Best Virtual Live and Biggest Fans.

BTS is a Korean boy-band formed in 2013 in Seoul. Its seven members (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Park Ji-min, V, and Jeon Jung-kook) exploded on the world music scene in a short time. BTS debuted in the world of music on June 13, 2013, with the single “2 Cool 4 Skool” and with subsequent singles and records they established themselves as Korean pop idols.

In 2017 they also introduced K-pop to the American market, becoming the first South Korean artists to reach the top of the Billboard 200, with the album “Love Yourself: Tear” (2018). They also established themselves at number 1 with all three subsequent albums, the only group after the Beatles achieved four top positions in less than two years.

BTS are also the best-selling artists in South Korea “and Map of the Soul: 7” (2020) is the best-selling record in the history of South Korean music

DJ David Guetta won the award for best electronic and performed Let’s Love live for the first time with Raye while immersed in a waterfall of lights at the Szechenyi Baths, in Budapest, one of the largest spa baths in Europe.

Lewis Hamilton presented the video for good award to H.E.R. for I Can’t Breathe, after giving a speech addressing the unifying force music provides, offering hope, solidarity, and comfort during a challenging year.
